• The Ignatian Way – The Jesuit Spiritual Center will present the Lenten series The Ignatian Way Feb. 29, March 7, 14, 21, and 28. The five-part series will cover principles of the Spiritual Exercises and St. Ignatius’ desire that people be “contemplative in action.” Presenters will include Fr. Richard Bollman SJ, Fr. William Verbryke SJ, Fr. Fran Daly SJ, Fr. Tom Ryan SJ, and Fr. Al Bischoff SJ. More information is available here, or call (513) 248-3500, ext. 10.

Each day will include several sitting meditations interspersed with periods of walking meditation over the grounds. Group guidance will be offered as will individual sessions with the director. The JSC campus spreads over 37 acres overlooking the Little Miami. Retreat facilities include two large overnight retreat buildings, a smaller retreat building for up to eight people, an enclosed pavilion and dining hall for day events, and a riverside cabin. The facilities are used for Center-sponsored retreats and activities but are also made available to faith-based organizations on a rental basis. For information, email Pam

A New Year's Appeal

The Jesuit Spiritual Center needs your support! Every year we ask our retreatants and friends to consider a financial gift. Last year, these gifts provided $112,000 for our youth ministry program, helped repair a roof, helped us offer retreats for people recovering from addictions, helped replace an air conditioning system knocked out by lightning. The list goes on. For over eighty years, gifts such as these have allowed the Jesuit Spiritual Center to reach tens of thousands of people, spanning generations. Could you add your gift as well? You can give
online, call Pam at (513) 248-3500, ext. 22, or use our physical address at 5361 S. Milford Rd., Milford OH 45150. You can also check out our other giving opportunities here. Anyway you do it, your gift is immensely appreciated. And it makes a difference!

Help us stay in touch!  Send us your email address and we'll keep you up-to-date on the latest JSC happenings, on upcoming retreats and on weather-related cancellations. Click here, hit send, and you're signed up!

Testimonials!

"I came feeling I had lost the experience of having God speak to me, and I found it this weekend."

"I came empty and was filled."

"I had never been to this type of retreat before. I found it uplifting, holy, and a wonderfully peaceful way to get in touch with God."

"Best retreat ever! I leave wanting to become the man I was meant to be."

"I have been coming for a long time and each time the program is wonderful and different. I love coming."

"Cost of gas from Lexington, $30. Cost of the retreat, $195. Spending the weekend with my 80-year-old dad . . . priceless."

"Each year God calls me to this retreat."

"The rhythm of each day allows the space and time and environment for personal solitude and prayer."

Please Remember the Jesuit Spiritual Center in Your Will

The Jesuit Spiritual Center recently received three bequests from deceased retreatants. The bequests came at a critical time, a time when our utility costs suddenly jumped, when our health insurance costs went up, and when we had to unexpectedly install a new campus-wide water line. The bequests did what we believe their donors had in mind – they allowed us to weather unforeseen circumstances. Bequests are an ideal way to ensure that the ministry that means so much to the present generation can continue for the next, and the next after that. So please consider a bequest to JSC. Bequests make a quiet but huge impact on the Center’s future. JSC’s legal title is: Jesuit Spiritual Center at Milford. For more information, contact Joe at (513) 248-3500, ext. 14, or send him an email.
